Trio of Root Veg Puree

Root veggies puree to a smooth consistency, making them an ideal first food. Mix this Trio of Root Veg Puree up by switching the sweet potato for pumpkin or swede.

Serves 6

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 g sweet potato, peeled & chopped
  • 200 g carrots, peeled & chopped
  • 100 g parsnips, peeled & chopped

Instructions

  • 1.   Steam the carrots & parsnip for 5 minutes
  • 2.   Add the sweet potato, continue to steam for 10-12 minutes or until the vegetables are tender
  • 3.   Drain the vegetables and blend to a puree or your desired consistency using a little of the cooking liquid or you could add a little of your baby’s usual milk.
