Why need this
To Take Your Baby Places
When you got pregnant, you probably started dreaming about things that you wanted to do with your little baby. How did you imagine your life with a baby? In the first couple of weeks, most mums like to stay in their baby cocoons, but soon enough they will find themselves wanting to leave the house and do things. One of the most important things to buy for your baby is a great pram. One that will help you take bubs everywhere you want to go.
A pram is most likely the most used item of all the things you will buy for your baby. You will use it to take bub for a walk, bring it with you for shopping and outings, take it on a holiday (overseas as well) and you might even let bubs sleep in it while in and around your home. Prams are used up to 3 years of age and considering that you might use it every day you will want it to be a great, lasting one.
Our Mum’s Tips
7 Tips For Buying A Travel Pram or Stroller
Travel prams are not as sturdy as regular prams, but offer great flexibility when traveling. They fold small and are easy to take with you on trips. Our mums love these prams for traveling and some use them all the time, especially with older kids. Strollers are a great option when bubs does not have to be in the pram all the time anymore and you do not want to take a large regular pram anymore but still want to have the option to push bubs around when they get tired or when that is more convenient.
Our mums shared their experiences with travel prams and strollers and what they love about the ones they have. Things that our mums believe you need to consider when buying a travel pram or stroller:
- Small fold – because it is for traveling our mums want a travel pram to be a small fold, so it can easily be stored between the other luggage or even taken on a plane
- Plane friendly – the smallest of travel prams fit the overhead compartments of an airplane and you are allowed to take them with you as carry on luggage. Easy cruising at the airports!
- Lightweight – for traveling you want something easy to take with you, so a lightweight pram is the go to. Easy to pick up and store above your head or easy to carry when needed.
- Sturdiness – a lightweight, small fold travel pram unfortunately is not as sturdy as your regular pram. Our mums prefer a travel pram that is as sturdy as can be.
- Steering – a travel pram is all about flexibility which can compromise steering quality. Our mums tried several travel prams to see which one still comfortable steers anywhere.
- Basket size – you will find that going out with a baby will mean carrying lots of stuff and when pushing a pram, you will use both hands, so a big basket that will hold all your items and shopping bags, is a great feature of any pram
- Shade – the Australian sun is burning strong and the last thing you want is that sensitive baby skin to get sunburnt. Consider the amount of shade your pram offers and what option you will have to add additional shades or covers to keep bubs out the sun.
